Petrol Price Hits N160/litre At Depots

Despite repeated assurance by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) that it has not increased its petrol ex-depot price from N133.80k, Daily Sun findings across some depots in Apapa proved otherwise.

Some marketers who spoke to Daily Sun under the condition of anonymity, said the price of petrol received from NNPC as Wednesday was N160 per litre. They said since the NNPC assumed the role of being the sole importer of petrol, all marketers have since suspended the importation of petrol, since it was no longer profitable for them to sell at Government’s regulated price of N145 per litre. ‘‘The N160 per litre price is not fixed by us but NNPC because the product is not ours but that of NNPC and that is what they have asked us to sell.

1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

Imo 2019: I’ll pick my successor, says Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has insisted that he would produce his successor in 2019. He said his successor would come from amongst members of his ‘rescue mission’ who, he believed, would sustain the philosophy and legacies of his administration.

This was just as he reiterated that the issue of zoning the office of the governor is dead in the state. Governor Okorocha said this while addressing stakeholders and leaders of the party from the 27 council areas of the state who paid him a New Year visit at his country home, in Ogboko, on Thurday. He maintained that whoever would take over from him in 2019 would be member of the Rescue Mission Political family and not an outsider.
