  Human rights lawyer Festus Keyamo has been appointed as the Director, Strategic Communications (Official Spokesperson) for the President’s 2019 Presidential Campaigns.

$462m Helicopter: Senate Summons Adeosun, Emefiele From Washington

 
  The Senate on Tuesday summoned the Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun and the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emefiele, for explanation on alleged withdrawal of 462 million dollars for purchase of helicopters from an American firm.

Police Arrest Senator Omo-Agege Over Mace Theft

  The police have arrested the lawmaker representing Delta Central senatorial district, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.

  Senator Omo-Agege was picked up by the police on Wednesday afternoon in Abuja, possibly in connection with the invasion of the Senate by hoodlums.

Hoodlums Invade Senate, Takes Mace

 

   Unknown hoodlums have invaded Senate chambers. They invaded the chambers this morning during a session and took away the mace, The Nation newspaper claims. Deputy Senate President, Dr Ike Ekeremadu was presiding when the incident happened, the paper further said.
