FEC Approves N64billion For Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

 
  The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved N64.108 billion for additional works on Section One of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

Court sends Sen. Nwaoboshi to Ikoyi prison



   A federal High Court, sitting in Lagos, has remanded Peter Nwaoboshi, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senator representing Delta North, in Ikoyi prison.

APC leadership: No room for third term – Tinubu


   
   Former Lagos State governor and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has declared that there will be no room for any party official who has served more than two terms in the party’s executive; at all levels.

THIS DAY IN HISTORY APR 26- 1954 Polio vaccine trials begin

 
 
    On this day in 1954, the Salk polio vaccine field trials, involving 1.8 million children, begin at the Franklin Sherman Elementary School in McLean, Virginia. Children in the United States, Canada and Finland participated in the trials, which used for the first time the now-standard double-blind method, whereby neither the patient nor attending doctor knew if the inoculation was the vaccine or a placebo.
