PDP Declares Seven Days Of Mourning Killings Of Innocent Nigerians

 

  The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday declared seven days of mourning for the victims of the killings of innocent Nigerians by marauders and bandits in Plateau state and other parts of the country.

   Prof. Wole Soyinka has urge President Muhammadu Buhari to make killer herdsmen pay for their crimes. He said this would send a strong warning that the Buhari administration would not tolerate forceful land seizure anywhere in Nigeria. Soyinka stated this in a statement on Wednesday, titled “On demand: A language of non-capitulation, non-appeasement.’

Bank Directors Responsible To Protect Customers Data- CBN Governor

 

   Bank directors will henceforth be responsible for the protection and security of customers’ data against e-fradusters, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has directed. The new rule followed the sophistication and jump in the number of cyber-security threats against Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) and Payment Service Providers (PSPs) which require strengthening their cyber defences to remain safe and sound.

Court Orders Temporary Forfeiture Of Diezani’s N325m Land In Lekki To FG

 

   Justice Babs Kuewumi of the Federal High Court, Lagos has ordered the  temporary forfeiture of a landed property linked to a former Minister of Petroleum Resources , Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke and valued at N325 million the Federal Government.

Ebonyi State Government To Reconstruct 171 Primary Schools

 

   Ebonyi State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Sabinus Nwankwegu, on Wednesday, said that the state government had approved the reconstruction of 171 primary schools across the state. He said N2 billion has been set aside for the project.
