  A three year old boy has been declared missing after being involved in the Lagos tanker explosion at Otedola Bridge yesterday.

NCC Withdraws 36 Million Redundant Lines For Effective Management Of Telecom Facilities

 
 
   The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) said yesterday that about 36 million redundant lines of subscribers have been withdrawn in the past few months so as to give room for effective management of telecom facilities.

     Its Executive Vice Chairman Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta said the lines had to be withdrawn because “we do not have time to allow resources to waste. The intention is to ensure that all resources at our disposal, number resources, spectrum resources are put into good use and benefit of this country”.

Tanker Explosion In Lagos, 9 Die, 54 Vehicles Burnt

   

   No fewer than nine people died and about 54 vehicles burnt yesterday during a tanker fire outbreak on Otedola Bridge, a Lagos suburb on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Four people , two of them critically  were injured as those caught in the fire tried to escape.
