Fire Injures Many Scooping Fuel In Niger State From Broken Pipeline

 

    Several persons were injured by fire on Sunday while attempting to scoop fuel from a broken pipeline at Dagbo-Pogo community in Niger State.

   A young man who  proposed to his girlfriend at the Ikeja City mall, Lagos State was embarrassed by actions from the girlfriend. As hundreds of customers went about their businesses, he suddenly went on his knees and brought out an engagement ring to propose to his light-skinned girlfriend.

Lagos State Working On More Foreign Investments

 

   The Lagos State government yesterday unveiled an initiative, tagged: Lagos to the World, to showcase the activities of the state and attract more Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the state. The Special Adviser to the Governor on Overseas Affairs and Investment, Prof. Ademola Abass, broke the news at a media launch of the initiatives in Lagos.

IGP Deploys 30,000 Police Personnel For Ekiti Election



   The Inspector General of police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris has deployed 30,000 police personnel to Ekiti State to ensure a peaceful, credible, free and fair election. The Ekiti governorship contest is scheduled for this Saturday. Similarly the IGP has also announced the temporal relocation of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, in charge of Operations to Ekiti State. This is even as he asked Police Commissioners of seven states to be on red alert.

Adeosun: Presidency, Senate, Minister Keep Adeosun On Alleged Fake NYSC Certificate

 

  The Presidency, Senate and Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, have kept mute over allegations published by Premium Times, at the weekend, that she skipped the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and subsequently obtained a forged exemption certificate in 2009.
