NNPC Counters DAPPMAN’s Strike
Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has assured petroleum products consumers across the country not to engage in panic buying in the countdown to depot shutdown by Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN) from Monday. The NNPC, countering the impact of the shutdown said it holds 2.6billion litres of petrol and 90,000 metric tonnes of diesel.
LAGOS- Police To Investigate Attack On Actor
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, has ordered a full scale investigation into an alleged attack on an actor identified as Gideon Okeke. The video of the actor complaining of an alleged attack against him by some policemen attached to the Maroko Division, Lagos, had gone viral on the social media.
Obasanjo Denies Neutrality
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has denied reports that he has decided to be neutral over who emerges president in 2019. Obasanjo, who lamented the level of “incompetence, corruption, lack of focus, insecurity, nepotism, brazen impunity and denial of the obvious” under President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, argued that only a fool will sit on the fence or be neutral when his or her country is being destroyed.
