   A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal, was at the Presidential Villa, Abuja today, Daily Trust online reports.

TSA transaction value hits N13.53trn — CBN

 

   The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) says the migration of the Federal Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to the Treasury Single Account (TSA) has led to positive growth in the value and volume of transactions recorded in end to end payments in 2017. The bank made the assertion in the 2017 Annual Activity Report released by its Banking and Payments System Department on its Website.

The presidential debate will also hold at the same venue on Saturday, January 19, 2018. The debate offers the platform for the vice presidential candidates to reveal to Nigerians their plans for the country as the nation prepares for the general elections next year.

World Debts Hit Record $184 Trillion


    The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said that the world debt has hit an all-time record of $184 trillion, an upward review from the $182 trillion it reported last week.
 The figure represents an average of $86,000 debt owed per person, according to a statement by Ting Yan, Press Officer at IMF, on ‘Global Debt Database (GDD) Update’.
