A British-Iranian academic who was arrested and detained in Iran on security charges has returned to the UK, the Foreign Office has confirmed.
PDP Condemns Zamfara And Yobe Killings
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the “unabated bloodletting” and killing of innocent citizens in Zamfara and Yobe States by marauders. The party in a statement yesterday by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan lamented the invasion of Kukareta in Damaturu, Yobe State, by insurgents, who sacked the area in an attack that led to the killing of a police officer attached to the state governor, Ibrahim Gaidam.
