Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. – Matthew 5:11-12

Law of Self Discovery by Pastor David Ibiyeomie

The number one thing for you to reach your place in destiny is what I call self-discovery. Until you discover who you are, you can never recover your place in destiny. You must discover who you are, it is your discovery that determines your recovery.

Genesis 37: 11 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.

Happy Family (Part 2) By Pastor Faith Oyedepo

Happy Family (Part 2) By Pastor Faith Oyedepo

Dear Reader,

I welcome you to this exciting moment in God’s presence, in Jesus’ precious name! Do you know that joy is a function of the things that are not seen, that is an assurance in God but happiness is a function of the things that are seen and finance is a key instrument to a happy family which cannot be over-emphasised? As we go through this truth in this series, I believe that light will shine on your path. This week, we will be looking at the issue of Finance in the family.

By God’s arrangement for the family, the husband is to provide for his household. He is the source and sustainer of the home who must ensure there are food, shelter, and education for members of his family. He must ensure that his family members are well taken care of, especially his immediate family members. The Bible says: But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel (I Timothy 5:8). The man must labour with his hands, especially as a married man; he cannot afford to be lazy, else he gives the devil room for conflict in the home which is a killer of happiness in the family. As a man in the home, your hands must be working hands because there is dignity in labour. God’s Word says: Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase (Proverbs 13:11). Being a father is not just about the reproduction of babies but responsibility. The father has the core duties of earning a living to support his family.

“And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.” 1 Kings 19:8 KJV

Today, we have a generation that does not read the Word. And the devil understands and likes it. Majority of the believers don’t read the Bible. All they have done is receive Jesus and they are not doing anything to find out what the Bible says about them. You see, the devil doesn’t mind you carrying 24 translations of the Bible as long as you don’t know what is inside them. He doesn’t mind you coming to church 24/7 as long as you are ignorant of what the Word says. Remember that we err when we don’t know the scriptures.

Memorise: “I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill.”- Psalm 3:4

Read: Mark 10:46-52 (KJV)

46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
