(FOREIGN) Woman Allegedly Attacks Her Husband Because He Did Not Tell Her She Looked Pretty

 
  A woman is Texas allegedly assauted her husband because he did not respond when she asked if she was pretty. Lizeth Guadalupe Ramirez, 20, was arrested late Tuesday after the alleged incident, the Laredo Morning Times reported, citing police.

  Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammad Abubakar Adamu, has said the Nigeria Police Force will employ technology to replace the use of weapons in the fight against extra-judicial killing across the country.

(LOCAL) Army Kills 27 Boko Haram Fighters, Recovers Arms

 

   The Nigerian Army says it has recorded a monumental victory against the Boko Haram sect, killing 27 jihadists and recovering arms and ammunition. 

      In a statement by its spokesman, Colonel Sagir Musa, troops of Sector 1 Operation LAFIA DOLE, in a joint clearance operation with Chadian Defence Forces, on the 13th of April 2019 had a fierce encounter with Boko Haram terrorists at the Northern part of Wulgo, Tumbuma, Chikun Gudu, and Bukar Maryam villages. He said during the operations, 27 terrorists were sent to permanent discomforting sleep. The following items were recovered:

(LOCAL) CCT Fix Date For Judgement In Suspended CJN, Walter Onnoghen’s Case



  The Code of Conduct Tribunal on Monday fixed Thursday, April 18, for its final judgment in the charges of false and non-declaration of assets instituted against the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Walter Onnoghen by the Federal government. The Danladi Umar-led three-man bench fixed the date for judgment after the prosecution led by Mr. Aliyu Umar (SAN), and the defence led by Mr. Okon Efut (SAN), adopted their final addresses.

   While adopting his final address, Onnoghen’s counsel, Okon Nkanu prayed the tribunal to dismiss the six-count charges against his client on grounds that the prosecution failed to prove the essential ingredients of the charges beyond all reasonable doubts. Also, Nkanu argued that false asset declaration charge against Onnoghen was unknown to law, saying it was not clearly defined by the constitution.
