(LOCAL) “I’m Upset At The Level of Poverty In Nigeria” – President Buhari

 

   President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that the level of poverty in Nigeria is a thing that gets him upset especially when he sees the almajiris in torn clothes.

   He made this known when he hosted Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Ministers, Service Chiefs, Heads of Security Agencies and Chief Executives of Federal Government Agencies and Institutions to a breaking of fast at the Presidential Villa, Abuja last night.

  Two Nigerian men believed to be members of an internet love scam syndicate were charged in Singapore on Tuesday with recruiting local women to collect money for them, police said.

(LOCAL) Tribunal Adjourns Hearing Suits Challenging Buhari’s Victory

 

   The chairman of the Tribunal and President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, has adjourned hearing all applications emanating from the Hope Democratic Party’s petition and others challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 23 presidential election.

  Hope Democratic Party (HDP) had earlier filed a motion seeking an order of the presidential election tribunal restraining President Muhammadu Buhari from presenting himself to be sworn-in on May 29th, 2019.

(LOCAL) You Have The Right To Search Police Officers Before He Does His Own Search– Police



 
  The police say Nigerians have the right to search its men in certain situations when the officers are about to carry out inspections.

  In a statement titled, (Part 2) Tips For Safe And Cordial Conduct During An Arrest, Frank Mba, force public relations officer, said if an officer is about to search a citizen or a property, that citizen has the right to first search the policeman in order to ensure that no evidence is planted.

(LOCAL) Tribunal Asked To Stop Buhari’s Inauguration

 

   A political party, Hope Democratic Party (HDP), has filed a motion seeking an order of the presidential election tribunal restraining President Muhammadu Buhari from presenting himself to be sworn-in on May 29th, 2019. The party is also seeking an order restraining the Chief Justice of Nigeria from swearing-in, administering the oath of office and oath of allegiance to the president on May 29th, 2019.
