(LOCAL) Tinubu Commends Buhari On June 12 Democracy Day



  Ahmed Bola Tinubu, a leader of the All Progressives Congress National Leader, has again commended President Muhammadu Buhari for taking steps toward fully recognising June 12 as Democracy Day.

  Tinubu gave the commendation in a statement released by his Media Adviser, Mr Tunde Rahman, in Lagos. He also urged the National Assembly to cooperate with the presidency to complete the constitutional process of making June 12 Democracy Day.

  The defence headquarters on Tuesday dissociated the armed forces of Nigeria from the circulation of document, calling for the overthrow of the democratically elected government led by President Muhammadu Buhari.

(LOCAL) “Saraki Is Not Different From Anybody” – Magu

  Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has today cleared the air that the fresh investigation of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, was not a witch-hunt.

  Magu said the commission does not witch-hunt any government official irrespective of their political background. Addressing journalists at the EFCC’s headquarters in Abuja, Magu disclosed that the Commission only investigates people it suspects of being involved in corrupt practices.
