Man Tries To Steal Halle Berry's Home
Halle Berry damn near returned to her home to find the locks changed and a strange man living inside. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... 59-year-old Ronald Eugene Griffin first showed up at an L.A. property owned by the actress in January and allegedly fiddled with the locks, but took off when he was approached by Halle's gardener.
Lagos Sacks 34 LASTMA Officers
The Lagos State Government on Friday said it has sacked 34 officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, over cases of extortion and others.
The government also disclosed that two LASTMA officers were currently being investigated for allegedly extorting motorist in the state. Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat stated that the present administration was committed to given adequate support to LASTMA officials towards reducing travel time within the state, but would not condone any government official terrorising the citizens.

Federal Government Orders Secondary Schools To Start Teaching History
The government directed all basic and secondary schools across the country to immediately implement the teaching of history as a standalone subject from the next academic calendar.
Mr Sonny Echono, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education made this known on Friday. It would the recalled that the Federal Government on June 18 promised the return history to school curriculum while ensuring that all primary school teachers are trained to deliver digital literacy.

The real reason Christabel Omore Buoro Owoicho, a 300-level student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) committed suicide has been revealed. It was not over failed love affair. She was actually raped.
Her friend and uncle who made this revelation said she was raped before she committed suicide.Earlier report had said she committed suicide because of a strained relationship with her boyfriend. She was said to have locked herself indoors after her roommate had left the hostel, increased the volume of her music player, left a note and committed the act.
Kaduna To Nurture 500 Secondary School Girls
The Kaduna State Government said that it had concluded plans to support the growth and development of 500 secondary school girls into successful entrepreneurs.
Assistant Director, Female Education in the state’s Ministry of Education, Mrs Esther Kayock, made this known at a capacity building programme organised for girls in public schools in Kaduna. The programme tagged “The Girl Agenda: Setting the Pace” was organised by an NGO, Women Connect Initiative (WCI) to train, empower and nurture young girls interested in doing business.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the 2019 annual lecture, Life Achievement Awards and induction of new fellows of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering, in Lagos on Thursday, Baru said service to Nigeria is a call which must be obeyed.
