12-year old pregnant girl in labour pains dumped at Makurdi General hospital

 

  A 12-year old girl who is in labour has been dumped at the General Hospital, Makurdi located at the North Bank by an unknown person. According to twitter user, @katordaniels, the little girl is in severe pains and a CS might be required. He also mentioned both of her parents are late! So heartbreaking!

‘I prayed my kidnappers would sleep off and they did’ — RCCG minister

   

   Ibeleji Chidinma, a deaconess in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has recounted how she gained freedom from her abductors on Saturday.

  Chidinma and four other passengers were abducted on Friday along the Benin-Sagamu expressway in Ogun state while heading to Lagos from the eastern part of the country and were taken to the forest. Chidinma was rescued in the early hours of Saturday and was taken to the command’s headquarters in Abeokuta. The police later announced that the remaining four, Chidioze Eluwa, Chiemela Iroha, Okoro Ohowukwe and Ndubuizi Owuabueze, had also been rescued.

Sowore has not committed treason- Soyinka



   Prof. Wole Soyinka on Sunday described the arrest of activist, Omoyele Sowore by the Department of State Security, DSS, as a travesty and violation of the fundamental rights of citizens to congregate and make public their concerns.

  Soyinka said the young politician has never engaged in any treasonable act as being claimed by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu. Operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, in the early hours of Saturday arrested Sowore, who is also the convener of ‘#RevolutionNow’ protests. Sowore posted a distress tweet at exactly 1:25 am with an eyewitness confirming that his phone was forcefully taken from him.

Buhari speaks on revolution protest, sends message to sponsors

  President Muhammadu Buhari has urged sponsors of Global Coalition for Security and Democracy in Nigeria, which planned a “Revolution Now” protest for Monday, to identify themselves and lead the campaign or lose the right to call themselves leaders. This is coming after Omoyele Sowore, the convener of #RevolutionNow Protests, was picked up at his apartment in the early hours of Saturday.
