. . . this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world. — John 4:42

History, philosophy, theology, and—in many centers of learning—even the sciences are being studied to discover what they have to say about Jesus Christ. The records of the Early Church are being reexamined for their testimony to Him. Archaeologists are digging to discover new evidence.

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. — 1 Corinthians 16:13

Have you ever had “one of those days” where nothing went right, yet you were hesitant to pray because you didn’t know where God might lead you? God won’t always ask you to do something; sometimes He just wants to talk to you.

“And all the king’s servants who were within the king’s gate bowed and paid homage to Haman, for so the king had commanded concerning him. But Mordecai would not bow or pay homage.” Esther 3:2 NKJV

According to the account in the book of Esther, Haman the mortal enemy of the Jews received a decree from the king of the Persian Empire to destroy all the children of God. And his reason was because Mordecai refused to bow to him. Mordecai said ‘I will not bow to you because it is only God I should bow to.’ So Mordecai would not compromise his faith, even in a strange land. He carried his faith with him into a strange land. Then, of course, there was Solomon. The Bible says he surpassed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.

Memorise: And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. – Joshua 24:15

Read: Joshua 24:14-15 (KJV)

14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.

15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
