  A secret investigation by BBC Africa, has exposed sexual harassment in UNILAG. After gathering dozens of testimonies, BBC Africa Eye sent undercover journalists posing as students inside the University of Lagos and the University of Ghana.

Nigerian Government to seize Maina’s houses, companies



    Nigerian Government has taken drastic steps to confiscate certain properties belonging to the former Chairman of the Pension Reforms Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, who has been accused of stealing billions of Naira from government coffers. It was gathered that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had already filed court papers to confiscate the properties.

Borno recruits 1,000 ‘ninja hunters’ ‎

  The spiritual warfare against Boko Haram has officially commenced in Borno state. Babagana Zulum, the governor, has secretly recruited 1,000 traditional hunters from different parts of the north-east and north-west. They are believed to possess supernatural powers to resist gun shots and also disappear and appear — like Japanese ninjas.

National Assembly Set To Receive 2020 Budget


     The National Assembly is set to receive the 2020 Appropriation Bill, it was learnt on Saturday. Findings showed that the Appropriation Committees of the two chambers are also in top gear to receive the fiscal document when it is referred to them. A member of the Senate Appropriation Committee told our reporter that “all hands are on deck to ensure that the budget is not unduly delayed when it is presented by President Muhammadu Buhari.

ASUU Reportedly Splits As Parellel Body Emerge

 

   The Academic Staff Union of Universities has split into two with the formation of a new body called Congress of University Academics (CONUA). Members of the new union noted that they left the ASSU in order to redefine unionism and restore peace and stability in the universities in Nigeria.
