2020 Budget To Be Passed On November 28

 
  The 2020 Appropriation Bill proposal presented on Tuesday to the joint sitting of the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari will be ready for passage on the 28th of November, 2019.

   This was disclosed by the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Mr Benjamin Kalu while addressing journalists after the presentation of the budget proposal by President Buhari on Tuesday in Abuja. According to Kalu, the National Assembly has a desire to reverse the budget calendar to January-December.

   The University of Ghana (UG) says it will not shield any employee or student found to have engaged in sexual harassment or misconduct. Reacting to a 13-minute documentary on s*xual assault released by the BBC Africa Eye on Monday, Stella Amoa, the school’s director of public affairs, condemned the act, saying UG is against such.

  The University of Lagos, Akoka, has suspended another lecturer, Dr Samuel Oladipo, of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, after he was also indicted in a sexual harassment documentary produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation.

Senate receives report on Abbo’s alleged assault

 

   The Senate’s ad hoc committee investigating a case of assault against Senator Elisha Abbo on Tuesday submitted its report to the upper chamber.
