Wife of Katsina’s Deputy Accountant General Kidnap

 

  Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted Hajiya Lubabatu Sani Lawal BK, the wife of the Deputy Accountant General of Katsina state, Alhaji Sani Lawal B/K. It was gathered that about gunmen numbering about 10, stormed her residence located within the Government Reserve Area (GRA) at about 9:00PM on Wednesday.

21 years old British tourist missing in Cambodian found floating in the sea


    Cambodian authorities found a body floating near the Thai border on Thursday that is believed to be a 21-year-old British woman who went missing last week from a beach party in a coastal area popular with backpackers.

Mobolaji Johnson, first military governor of Lagos dies



   Brigadier General Mobolaji Olufunso Johnson, first Military Governor of Lagos State is dead. His son, Deji, confirmed that the retired soldier passed on.

   Johnson was born on February 9, 1936 to the family of Joshua Motola Johnson and his wife, Gbemisola Johnson (née Dudley-Coker), his father was of Egba heritage and was a member of the Royal West African Frontier Force during World War II. His grandfather’s last name was previously Osholero but he changed it to Johnson after the priest who converted him to Christianity.

I Am Ready To Face Trial If My Safety Can Be Guaranteed- Nnamdi Kanu

 

  Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Thursday, told the Federal High Court, Abuja, that he was ready to face trial if his safety would be guaranteed by the court. Kanu told the presiding judge, Justice Binta Nyako, through his counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor.

  Ejiofor told the court that the application to restore the IPOB leader’s bail so that he could face his trial was filed on April 1. “We have an application for bail filed on April 1, 2019, the application was served on the prosecution and it is ripped for hearing.

Navy apprehend five vandals, recovers stolen PMS

 

    The Nigerian Navy operatives attached to the Forward Operating Base (FOB) on Thursday arrested five suspected pipeline vandals with 136 jerry cans laden with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
