Brexit Is the Reason the U.K. Missed Out on Elon Musk’s Tesla Gigafactory



    The U.K. was once a candidate for Tesla Inc. to locate its European research and manufacturing facilities, but Brexit thwarted those plans, according to Elon Musk. Uncertainty around the decision to leave the European Union “made it too risky to put a gigafactory” in the U.K., the Tesla chief executive officer told automotive outlet Auto Express.

Two journalists arraigned for conspiracy and defamation


     ALFRED OLUFEMI, a student journalist at Obafemi Awolowo University, and Gidado Shuaib Yushau, editor of Youths Digest and The News Digest, were on Tuesday arraigned before an Ilorin magistrate court on charges of conspiracy and defamation.
   
   Their prosecution by the Nigeria Police was triggered by a petition from Hillcrest Agro-Allied Industry, an agricultural products processing company, located at Ajase Ipo, Kwara State, owned by Sarah Alade, Special Adviser to the President on Finance and Economy and former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Three policemen shot at Kaduna checkpoint

 

  Three policemen serving at Fadan Karshi Outpost in Sanga local government area of Kaduna state were on Tuesday gunned down by unknown gunmen at a checkpoint between Fadan Karshi and Sabon Gida village.
