COVID-19: Governor Yahaya Bello Shuts Borders, Schools, Issues Guidelines For Residents

 

   Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has ordered the closure of both land and waterways in the state and issued guidelines to residents to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

Coronavirus: Governor Obaseki Goes Into Self-Isolation



    Following his close contact with the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Muhammed and Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, who have both tested positive for coronavirus, the Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has gone into self-isolation.

COVID19- India To Go Under Total Lockdown, PM Narendra Modi



  India’s 1.3 billion people will go under “total lockdown” from midnight Tuesday (1830 GMT) for 21 days to combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.

Bauchi Governor, Bala Mohammed, Tests Positive For Coronavirus

   The Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has tested positive to coronavirus (COVID-19).  The governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mukhtar Gidado, announced this in a statement on Tuesday.

Ecobank shuts branch in Abuja after man dies of coronavirus

 

   Ecobank Nigeria Limited has closed its Wuse II branch in Abuja over Nigeria’s first coronavirus death. The bank said the victim, Mr. Sulaiman Achimugu, a former Managing Director of the Pipelines and Product Marketing Company, visited the branch twelve days before his death.

    In a statement on its verified Twitter handle, the bank said, “Nigeria, very sadly, this morning recorded its first death, which unfortunately was one of our valued customers. Our most sincere condolences to the family. “Our attention has been drawn to the fact that the deceased was at our Wuse II, Abuja Branch on 12 March 2020, twelve days ago.
