Enugu approves welfare package for doctors



 
  Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has approved the immediate provision of Group Life/Group Personal Accident Assurance Policy for all medical doctors in the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Teaching Hospital, Parklane, Enugu.

   In a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Simon Ortuanya, the ‘assurance’ package is also extended to other health workers in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak in Nigeria. Other beneficiaries, according to the statement, include fire fighters, staff of Enugu State Emergency Management Agency “and all those involved in other essential services”.

God has allowed COVID-19 to afflict the human race only to redirect our steps back to Him-

 

  Festus Keyamo, minister of state, labour and employment, says God allowed coronavirus to afflict humans so they can retrace their steps back to Him. There are about 400,000 cases of COVID-19 around the world  with more than 16,000 deaths. As of Wednesday, Nigeria has recorded 51 cases.

Obaseki Tests Negative For COVID-19




   The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has tested negative for coronavirus but has decided to remain in self-isolation.

Church of England closes all churches for funerals, weddings and baptisms

 

   All Church of England churches are to close with immediate effect, including for private prayer, in an effort to help limit the transmission of the coronavirus COVID-19.
