Federal Government Secures Over N45billion World Bank Support for Mining Development.

   
   The federal government through the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development  has secured N45.7 billion support from the World Bank for the mineral sector support for Economic Diversification  program.


The minister, Dr Kayode Fayemi stated this in his address at a session organized to present the Nigerian Mining Sector Year 2016 in Review and Projections for Year 2017, with the ‘theme on the road to Shared mining prosperity, the Journey so far’.


He said they  have secured support from the World Bank for the funding of $150million  Mineral Sector Support for Economic Diversification

The minister further revealed that government had constructed 10 Prototype Mineral Buying Centres across the country for specific strategic industrial minerals.
