Gov. obaseki presents 2017 appropriation bill

    The Governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki has presented a 2017 Appropriation Bill of over One Hundred and Fifty point Eleven Billion to the State House of Assembly for consideration.

     Promising that his administration will lay the road map towards transforming the state to become one of the most prosperous in the country, he said the Appropriation Bill tagged budget of “Consolidation and prosperity” has been carefully crafted to actualize all promises made during the electoral campaigns.
Governor Obaseki noted that the budget aims to consolidate on the progress achieved in the last eight years” under the immediate past Governor of the State, Adams Oshiomhole and to position the state for greater development.
   The budget which is Twenty Nine Percent higher to that of 2016 comprises over Seventy Four point Nine Billion Naira as recurrent expenditure and over Seventy Five point One Hundred and Eleven Billion Naira as capital expenditure as well as a deficit of Twenty Five Billion Naira.
