Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu
State is lauding the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, over
impounding of 233 bags of cannabis from a notorious cannabis syndicate
operating in the state.
Inspecting the large seizure at the
NDLEA headquarters in Enugu, Governor Ugwuanyi urged the agency’s personnel not
to relent in their commitment to rid the society of the cultivation and sale of
hard drugs.
He also urged locals in communities
where drug peddlers carry out their nefarious activities to always assist
security agencies in unmasking the culprits.
The 233 bags of cannabis were
impounded in Awgu Local Government Area of the state at a makeshift warehouse
where the illegal substance was hidden.
