Anambra CJ seeks equipping of court registries

The Chief Judge of Anambra State, Justice Peter Umeadi, has called for proper equippingt of Probate Registries of High Courts in Nigeria for better record-keeping and safeguard of public documents.

Justice Umeadi made this call after inspecting the renovated office complex of the probate registry in Awka, accompanied by Judges of the state High Court.

Speaking through the Acting Chief Registrar, Mr. Nnamdi Mbanefo, Justice Umeadi maintained that the registry was capable of increasing the internally generated revenue of state governments through registration of wills and probate.

The team also inspected eight Magistrate courts that were renovated in Onitsha and Nnewi divisions, which the Chief Judge noted will help in the quick dispensation of justice in the area.
