Governor Seriake Dickson tells FG to fast-track the ongoing peace process in the Niger Delta

Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State is calling on the Federal Government to fast-track the ongoing peace process in the Niger Delta to achieve lasting peace in the region.

Speaking at the wreath-laying ceremony of the 2017 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebrations in Yenagoa, the Governor expressed his administration’s commitment to partnering with stakeholders to maintain law and order in the state.

According to him, his government has no room for kidnapping, pipeline vandalism and sea piracy, even as he urged all aggrieved parties to adopt dialogue in resolving issues.

While appreciating the sacrifices and contributions of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the governor particularly lauded President Muhammadu Buhari and service chiefs for the recent successes recorded in the fight against insurgency in the North East.
