Papa Oyedepo Denies Calling Out For Muslims To Be Attacked

 

     Following reports he made statements inciting violence against Muslims, the General Overseer of Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo through his church’s spokesman has denied the reports and added that it the video the reports were generated from was an old one.


   A video trending online depicted the bishop laying curses on those fomenting crisis in Nigeria and many attributed it to the killings in Southern Kaduna.

  However, the spokesman for the church, Dr Sheriff Folarin, said the video was old and has no connection with the recent killings in Southern Kaduna. Folarin said: “This was before the present administration took office. “The message bears no relevance to today’s happenings; not even developments of 2016.

   “The reporter(s), either being completely unprofessional, lazy or simply wicked, made the 2015 message look like a 2017 church service message. The trending video is NOT a 2016 or 2017 video.
