Delta State House of Assembly Holds Public Hearing On Nomadic Cattle Rearing Control Bill

    Delta State House of Assembly Committee on Agriculture & Natural Resources has held a public hearing on the proposed Nomadic Cattle Rearing Control Bill, 2016 with a view to getting inputs from stakeholders and the general public on the Bill.


  Chairman of the Committee, Hon. EvanceIvwurie said the public hearing on the bill is to get the views of stakeholders in the state, he also noted that the bill seeks to address the abnormality in cattle rearing business in the state.

   Comrade Izeze who is the lead sponsor of the Bill and a member of the Committee said the bill seeks to protect the lives of Deltans and residents of Delta State so that those who want to do business will do business within the ambit of the law, stressing that the bill seeks to regulate the activities of herdsmen.
