FIFA president, Infantino optimistic about 2022 World Cup

 

    FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, is confident that the 2022 World Cup which will be hosted by Qatar will leave a lasting legacy, as it would be hosted in the Middle-East for the very first time.

  46-year-old FIFA boss was in Doha at an Executive Football Summit wherein presentations from the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy on plans for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar were made.
   2022 World Cup will be the last edition of the competition to run in its current format as FIFA shall expand the number of participants from 32 to 48.
   Infantino also mentioned that 2022 World Cup will certainly be special for fans as every stadium is very much located in less than an hour’s distance.
