Residence of Ossissa in Ndowka East Local Government Area of Delta state kick against the Nomadic Cattle Rearing Control Bill

People of Ossissa in Ndowka East Local Government Area of Delta state are kicking against the Nomadic Cattle Rearing Control Bill which is before the state House of Assembly.

Rejecting the bill, the people sat they would not give out any land as designated area of cattle grazing.
Speaking with newsmen on the community’s position, Chief Olisenekwu warned that the bill if passed into law, would be abused by the herdsmen as they have done to the Control of Movement of Animals law, 2002. According to him, the lands the community has are for farming activities.
