SARAKI- Nigerian soldiers who formed part of the regional force that `enthroned’ President Adama Barrow of The Gambia will be returning home soon

Senate President Bukola Saraki says some Nigerian soldiers who formed part of the regional force that `enthroned’ President Adama Barrow of The Gambia will be returning home soon.

Saraki made this known while reacting to questions from newsmen after a closed door meeting with the Acting President YemiOsinbajo.
The Senate President, who was accompanied by the Speaker, House of Representatives, YakubuDogara, said the acting president briefed them on the activities of the Nigerian soldiers in The Gambia.
It would be recalled that Nigeria had sent 200 soldiers and air assets including fighter jets who were part of the ECOWAS military standby intervention force “tasked by ECOWAS heads of state to enforce the December1st, 2016 election mandate in The Gambia”.
