Chairman, Ika South Local Government Council of Delta state, Hon. Fred Ofume, led other officials of the council on a surprise visit to reclaim the popular slaughter market at the GRA quarters in Agbor.
Hon. Ofume who took time to go round the market expressed dissatisfaction over the state of things and ordered the immediate demolition of the shanty shores erected by the traders.
While noting that the market will be reopened for business after accreditation and registration, he urged all persons doing business in the market to cooperate with the local government.
