Kano Pillars Sack Technical Adviser, Kadiri Ikhana

Kano Pillars Technical Adviser, Kadiri Ikhana, has been sacked ahead of the second stanza of the league. The former Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions suffered a 1-3 defeat to defending champions, Enugu Rangers, in a rescheduled game on Sunday.

The 65-year-old paid for the club’s lack of results, seeing them lie 12th with seven wins in 19 games. Coach Ikhana was appointed as Mohammed Babaganaru’s successor, following Pillars unimpressive campaign last season. The team has conceded 16 goals and scored 16 in their 19-league games this season to be sitting three points from safety.
