FUNAAB celebrates the exit of its Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olusola Oyewole

Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has been trending on twitter for hours now and here's why: It's all because the school staff and students took to their open ground in nice attires, frying 'akara' (baked beans), to celebrate the suspension of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olusola Oyewole.

Prof. Olusola Oyewole was last week suspended by the federal government over series of petitions bothering on alleged maladministration and financial malpractices.  Prof. Olusola was described by the staff as an authoritarian.

Reacting to the suspension, the chairman of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU FUNAAB), Rotimi Fasuwon said Oyewole's exist "is end to tyranny in FUNAAB. Honestly, we have every course to have this party. We experienced a period of authoritarian leadership that has never been in the over 20years existence of this university."
