Chelsea Sign High Flying Ajax Forward, Redan

Chelsea have signed Ajax’s 16-year-old wonderkid Daishawn Redan. They have beaten Manchester United and RB Liepzig in signing the wonderkid. The teenage striker has been one of the most prolific in Ajax’s youth set up since he joined at the age of eight and will join Chelsea’s academy at Cobham Training Centre on July 1.

Redan decided he would move from Ajax in March but he has only made his mind up to join Chelsea this week and he joins Billy Gilmour from Rangers as the club’s second big academy signing of the summer. Ajax have expressed their disappointment at losing one of their greatest talents. He will join Chelsea’s revered academy set-up, which currently dominates English football’s youth tournaments.

Ajax head of youth Said Ouaali said: “We have mapped out a path for him and there have been discussions with him and his management. It is extremely regrettable, obviously they have something else on their minds. “We have made every effort to maintain a great talent as Daishawn, but at some point it ends. We wish him all the best with the rest of his career.”
