Lagos State Government gives mechanics and street traders under bridges in the Marina area 72 hours to vacate

Lagos State Government has given mechanics and street traders along the roadsides, walkways, and under bridges in the Marina area of Lagos Island within 72 hours to vacate or be arrested.

The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Central Business District, Agboola Dabiri, said the directive came from the state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, noting that the government had vowed to bring environmental sanity to every nook and cranny of the state.

Dabiri reiterated the determination of the present administration to restore the master plan of Marina and its environs by checking the activities of street traders and mechanics, who had converted spaces under the bridges, walkways and roads to their workshops.
