Nnamdi Kanu absent in court as co-defendants are arraigned for treasonable offenses

The leader of the proscribed secessionist group IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, was conspicuously absent at the Federal High Court in Abuja today October 17th. Kanu was supposed to appear in court for the resumed hearing of the felony charges leveled against him and three others by the Federal government.

His co-accused namely the National Coordinator of IPOB, Chidiebere Onwudiwe; an IPOB member, Benjamin Madubugwu; and a telecommunications expert, David Nwawuisi, are present in court. Recall that Kanu has not been seen in public since the military operation at his home in Umuahia, Abia state on September 14th.
