Police confirm release of abducted nurse in Gombe

   

    Mr Shina Olukolu ,Gombe state Commissioner of Police on Wednesday confirmed the release of Mr Ephraim Ajuji, a nurse  who was abducted by hoodlums in the early hours of Tuesday in Dadin-Kowa  town of Gombe. Olukolu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in a telephone conversation that the victim was released in the early hours of Wednesday.

     There was drama inside the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja this morning as the Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita and the Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Abba Kyar, engaged in an argument over the leaked memo written by Oyo-Ita to President Buhari indicating that he, the president, was aware of the reinstatement of wanted former pension boss, Abdulrasheed Maina, into the civil service.

Court rule-out Diezani’s bid for trial in Nigeria

 

 
   A Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday dismissed an application by former Minister of Petroleum Resources Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke seeking to be tried in Nigeria.  Ruling on the application, Justice Rilwan Aikawa said it was misconceived.
