The police has debunked claims by Senator Dino Melaye, that there’s a plot to arrest him and inject him to death. This allegation was made by the senator in a post via Twitter on Tuesday.

There is a plan by the IG to arrest me today and inject me to death. Men deployed already. CP kogi and others removed. Nigerians watch out.
However, in a statement via Twitter on Wednesday, police spokesman, Jimoh Ibrahim says that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris hasn’t given such orders. According to the police PRO, Mr Melaye should confess his crimes, if he has committed any, then face legal actions. The police further urged the senator to stop whipping up sentiments.
No order from IGP or plan by the Force to arrest Sen Melaye and inject him to death, if the Senator knows he has committed any crime or aware of his involvement in any crime,he should come out, confess and face legal consequences instead of whipping up sentiments to distract the public.
