Police Speaks On Murder Of Enugu Monarch, Igwe Nwatu

 

   The Enugu Police Command on Thursday called on the Nigerians for information that would lead to the arrest of a suspect, one Chijioke Okenwa and his cohorts alleged to be involved in the murder of a monarch. According to report, the traditional ruler of Ogbozine Akpugo, in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, Igwe Nwatu was murdered on Monday by gunmen.

Court Fixes July 10 For Melaye’s Trial

 

   The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Maitama, Abuja, has fixed July 10 and 11 for the resumption of a criminal case instituted against the Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye. The Punch gathered on Wednesday that the development followed the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami’s letter dated June 4, 2018, which was sent to the court’s registrar requesting that a date be fixed for the continuation of the trial.

Senator Bail 64 Inmates With N6m In Sokoto

 

  The Chairman of the Northern Senators Forum, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, on Wednesday, secured the freedom of 64 inmates after releasing N6 million for the payments of various fines, compensation and debts levied against them by the courts.

Former Chief of Air Staff Amosu to forfeit N2.2b

 

  The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the temporary forfeiture of N2.2billion recovered from former Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Adesola Amosu. Justice Mojisola Olatoregun made the order based on an ex-parte application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
