Lagos State governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, defeated the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Jimi Agbaje, with over 533, 000 votes in Saturday’s governorship election.
Sanwo-Olu was governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Announcing the results at the Lagos headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), yesterday, the Chief Collation Officer, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede said Sanwo-Olu was elected with 739,445 votes. He beat Agbaje, who polled 206,141 votes.
