Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze has been banned from participating in the next African Cup of Nations and the Under-20 World Cup in Poland. Gernot Rohr has reacted to the ban, describing it as a dilemma but admits that he understands the decision.
Due to his brilliant performances in recent time, he was named the Nigeria Football Federation’s 2018 Young Player of the Year in April.
“He has an interesting ability which makes him a very important talent for any team he plays with,” Rohr added. “I saw this quality when he played with us and the Olympic team, we must support Chukwueze and our other players too.”
