TREM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 14TH NOVEMBER 2019- GROW UP

“Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;”
Galatians 4:1 KJV

Do you know that of all the apostles, the only person that died a natural death was John? They threw him in to a boiling pot, but he came out. They banished him to the Island of Patmos because of the Word of God and that was where he received the book of Revelation. The rest of the apostles were killed, they were martyred but this man died naturally.

Are you a disciple or just a convert? You know converts, at times, live a good life, but they do not know why they are living a good life. A convert may say, ‘I have stopped drinking, I have stopped doing this and I have stopped doing that.’ But when you ask them; ‘how did you stop and why did you stop?’ They will say ‘our church told us to stop.’ He does not know what the Word of God says.

Beloved, God wants us to grow.  According to our Bible text today, “…the heir, as long as he is a child…” will remain a servant. In other words, there are inheritances that belong to you, but as long as you choose not to grow up, God will not give them to you. You will be a servant until you grow up.

Why don’t you for once be honest with yourself and be real. Take a decision that you will follow God. Jesus said ‘Come, follow me and I will make you.’ Your Father knows the things that you have need of, but seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.
