Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money [in]…. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites…. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them…this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living. – Mark 12:41-44
Have you ever wanted to get God’s attention? You can, you know. There’s a certain kind of boldness, a certain kind of faith in giving that will get His attention every time. You can see that in Mark 12.
Read that chapter and just imagine the situation it describes. Jesus was sitting by the treasury watching as people put in their offerings. Don’t you know there were some sanctimonious displays going on with Him there watching? There was bound to be plenty of pharisaical robe swishing as those wealthy leaders walked up to put in their gifts that day.

. . . realize that your heavenly Father will . . . give the Holy Spirit to those who ask for him. —Luke 11:13 (TLB)
Before He left His disciples, Christ promised that He would send a Comforter to help them in the trials, cares, and temptations of life. This word comforter means “one that helps alongside.” He is the Holy Spirit, the powerful Third Person of the Trinity.

A Blissful Home is God’s Plan for You (Part 2) By Pastor Faith Oyedepo
Dear Reader,
It is possible to enjoy blissful family life. You just have to make God the centre of your heart and home. You have to be open to His words and follow His instructions. His Words, instructions or commandments are not grievous or burdensome (1 John 5:3).
It is an easy thing to do. God made man with a desire to please and follow His will (Scripture). The Lord Jesus came to make it easier for man to follow and obey the Word of God. ‘Come, all that labour … for my burden is light and my yoke is easy’ (Matt. 11:28). Instead of seeking to do things your way, doing them God’s way will give you cheaply the results you desire.

Nothing can satisfy your longing for God except communion and fellowship with Him. The apostle John wrote, And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever (1 John 2:17 AMPC).

Read: 2 Corinthians 9:8-14 (KJV)
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
