Mother Arrested in Lagos for Dumping A day-old Baby by the Roadside
The Ajangbadi Police Division of the Lagos State Command on Thursday, September 15th, arrested Ifunanya Eme for dumping her newborn baby by the road side around 3am on Tuesday, two hours after delivering the baby by herself. The 31-year-old single mother claimed she dumped the baby because she couldn't afford to feed her as the father had abandoned her when she became pregnant.
Four firms linked to Jonathan's wife plead guilty to $15m fraud charge
Four companies, Pluto Properties and Investment Company, Seagate Property Development Company, Trans Ocean Property and Investment Company Ltd, and Avalon Global Property Ltd, all of which allegedly have links with former First Lady, Dame Patient Jonathan, yesterday, pleaded guilty to alleged $15 million fraud charge brought against them before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos. EFCC boss Magu and Patience Jonathan Meanwhile, Mrs. Jonathan yesterday faulted the authenticity of the representatives of the four companies who pleaded guilty to the charges.
