Three policemen and seven others feared dead as Navy, Police clash in Calabar

 

     A policeman, who escaped death by the whiskers, told Daily Sun that the police station, including the armoury, was completely razed
    Over 10 persons were feared killed and several others injured when naval personnel and police men clashed in Calabar, Cross River State Akim Police Station opposite a military Barracks.

      Reports emerging from Ghana say claim that a military team has taken over Denkyira-Obuasi town and arrested over 200 people in connection with the murder of military officer, Capt. Mahama.
According to local media, all roads leading to the community, all bushes have been blocked by soldiers. Women and children are taking shelter in churches.

Senate orders suspension of Port Harcourt refinery concession



    The Nigerian Senate has ordered the Ministry of Petroleum Resources to suspend the planned concession of the Port Harcourt Refinery to Agip and Oando, due to concerns over the transparency of the process.
