Adebayo Faleti passes on at 86

 

   The renowned Yoruba novelist, actor, broadcaster, Adebayo Faleti is dead. He passed on July 23, 2017 at the ripe age of 86. He died at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, a city in which he had spent most of his life.

More Boko Haram memebers Surrender To Army Troops

 

    Four Boko Haram terrorists and members of their respective families, on Saturday, surrendered to troops of 27 Task Force Brigade of the Nigerian Army.  Their surrender was announced in a statement issued by Brigadier-General SK Usman, Director, Army Public Relations. The statement quoted the terrorists as saying that they were fleeing Boko Haram hideouts in Kafe, Njubulla and Buk in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.

Milk production : Dangote to breed 500,000 cows, invests $800 million

 


   The president of Dngote group who is already into rice, sugar and tomato farming is planning to develop dairy plants and develop home-grown milk production as he seeks more ways of ensuring Nigerians don't go hungry as the population increases drastically. Research has shown that Nigeria spends about $1.3 billion annually on the importation of dairy products and the Dangote’s intervention is expected to at address this issue.

305 Imo youths receive N1 million each from Governor Rochas Okorocha

   

   According to him, the ‘One Million Naira’ largesse was to encourage the youths to suc­ceed and begin to contribute to the progress and prosperity of the state and the country. He assured the beneficiaries of his assistance towards making sure that they prosper in their business endeavors.
