'World's heaviest woman', Eman Abdul dies at 35


    Eman Abdul Atti, who was once known as the “world’s heaviest woman” has passed away at the age of 35.

     On Sunday, Angela Merkel won a fourth term as German Chancellor, but with her party's lead in parliament cut down and the country facing a surge in support for the far right.

The University of Ilorin has become a terrorist organization - ASUU

   

   The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Sunday branded the University of Ilorin (Unilorin) as a “terrorist organization” as far as the industrial relation is concerned. The union made it know in a statement after the institution reportedly sacked the ASUU chairman in the school, Dr. Kayode Afolayan, for allegedly ‘exposing the impunity, lawlessness and disregard for due process’ in the University.
 
  In the statement sighted on the Vanguard which was signed by Dr Ade Adejumo and Dr. Deji Omole, the Zonal Coordinator of the Ibadan Zone of ASUU and Chairman, University of Ibadan Chapter, they claimed that the outgoing Vice-Chancellor at Unilorin, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali, who is allegedly behind the termination of the ASUU chairman in the school, illegally handed a temporal appointment to his wife Dr (Mrs) Taiwo Toyin Ambali.
