BREAKING: I’ve ordered Jonathan to appear in court Wednesday

   

   Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, October 24, confirmed that he had signed a subpoena compelling Goodluck Jonathan, the former president, to appear in court on Wednesday, October 25, to testify in defence of Olisa Metuh, former national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ronaldo is FIFA Best Player

 

    Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo last night retained the 2017 Best FIFA Men’s Player Award. He edged out arch rival Lionel Messi and PSG striker Neymar for the top award. The Portuguese international was a clear favourite after playing a massive part in Madrid’s win of the UEFA Champions League back to back.

Southern governors vote for devolution of power

   

    States in the Southern part of the country yesterday reiterated their belief in true federalism within the context of a united Nigeria.  In a communique after the first meeting of the 17 Southerm states 12 years after the Forum was inaugurated, the governors also said the south required more infrastructure from the federal government.

FG can't stop doctors from private practice, says NMA

   

     The Nigerian Medical Association has come out against a federal government ban from private practice, calling the policy illegal.  The association has also threatened to go on holiday, leaving public hospitals to be run by paramedics if paramedics are being equated with them.
